You can make divestment happen! Call & email your senator to urge a YES vote on SB252

SB252 will likely be on the senate floor today, May 25th, 2023! We are right at about 21 votes - meaning we need to keep every "aye" vote in the face of fossil fuel and CalSTRS/CalPERS counter lobbying! We know that they have been out working the Senators offices all week.

We need to get as many calls/emails as possible to push these last senators' aye votes:

• Senator Glazer (East Bay - Antioch, Walnut Creek, Concord, Livermore, Brentwood)

• Senator Archuleta (LA County / Orange - including Whittier)

• Senator Menjivar (N of LA San Fernando/Burbank)

• Senator Roth (E of LA - Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley)

• Senator Rubio (LA County Monte, Covina, Ontario)

Many youth in YVA have been working on the Divest CalSTRS campaign for YEARS -- trying to get CA public employees, including teachers, to stop investing in the destructive and unjust fossil fuel industry.
