Wednesday, March 15, 2023, students from Urban Promise Academy attended a Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) board meeting. They were the only youth present there, and all of them did amazing!

Dana, an 8th grader at UPA said “Gas appliances produce a toxic gas called Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) These gasses can be highly toxic. I have a family member who is highly in danger because of health problems that are already affecting him. He’s only a year old.”
Thanks to everyone’s efforts, the law was passed!
